Easiest Ways to Update/Change Mobile Number in Pan Card

If you want to register/update/change mobile number in pan card, you can easily do it yourself. Although when you apply for a pan card, your mobile number also register with your pan account.

Offline Method to Change Mobile Number in Pan Card

As an offline Method, you need to visit any stock-broker or e-service provider which provides NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) services. You can ask for the pan name/address correction form and fill it appropriately, including the new mobile number which you want to change, and submit it.

Within three working days, you will notice your mobile number and email-id from NSDL for your new number updation.

Online method to change Mobile Number in Pan Card

In this method, you don’t need to visit any kiosk; you can use your laptop and internet connection to change your mobile number in the pan card.

You need to log in to your account on the income tax department’s web portal with your login id and password. If you’re not registering yourself on the portal till now, you can register by clicking on the “Register Yourself” button.

To register, select an individual from the dropdown and click on the “Continue” button.

After refreshing the page, you need to fill in your Pan Number, Last Name, Middle Name, First Name, and Date of Birth.

Then click on “Resident” and click on the “Continue” button. On the next screen, you will see the desired box for the primary mobile number, here you can add your mobile number, and if you want, you can enter an alternate mobile number as well.

Once you enter the mobile number and email id, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number and email id.

Enter both OTP in the respective field and click on “Continue” and your mobile number registered with your Pan Card.

Open the Income-Tax official website and enter your ID (Your PAN number) and password. Once you on your IT (Income Tax Web) account page, click on the “Profile Setting” then click on the “My Profile” tab.

After that, you need to choose the Contact Details and click on the “Edit” button.

Here is where you can enter your new mobile number and active email id, so enter the new number and click on the “Submit” button.

After submitting a new mobile number and email-id, you will receive an OTP on your new mobile number and email ID, enter both OTP in their field, fill the captcha, and then click on the “Confirm” button. And your new mobile number updated instantly in Pan Card.
