Eligibility Criteria to Get Admissions

University Distance Education Eligibility

Candidates who are interested in getting admissions in Andhra University Distance Education Courses can check their eligibility for a specific course here:

Age limit- 18 years and above age is a must for all students to apply for any course.

Certificate course minimum qualification-

To get admissions in certificate courses, candidates need to pass out a minimum of 12th standard or Intermediate from any recognized board. And a good command over the English language.

Candidates also appear in entrance exams conducted by SDE or other universities under the open system.

Diploma courses minimum qualification-

There are two diploma courses under the distance education system. For both courses, the minimum qualification is Intermediate or 12th class passed from any recognized college.

For Diploma in Spoken Hindi and Translation, Hindi subject is a must in the 12th standard.

Under-Graduate courses minimum qualification-

4 under-graduate courses are offered by Andhra Distance School, and minimum qualification eligibility is Intermediate or equivalent is a must to get admissions in these courses.

Minimum educational eligibility for postgraduate courses-

To get admissions for a master’s degree from Andhra, correspondence/distance school candidates need to hold any bachelor’s degree from a recognized college.

To get admissions in a master’s degree for a specific subject like; MA in English or MA in Hindi etc. it is compulsory that they have the same subject in their graduation.

Eligibility for PG Diploma courses

PG Diploma in Co-Operation and Rural Studies-

Bachelor’s Degree holders who are In-service and working in Co-Operatives and Allied Institutions can apply for this course.

PG Diploma in Functional Hindi and Translation-

Bachelor’s degree with Hindi subject, from a recognized university.
